Lansdowne Road Agreement Must Yield Productivity Dividends
Following the conclusion of public sector pay talks today (29/05/15) Chambers Ireland has reiterated that meaningful productivity and reform initiatives must be delivered as part of the Lansdowne Road Agreement.
Ian Talbot, Chief Executive, Chambers Ireland said “Following what appears to be significant concessions to the public sector unions, particularly in the blocking of outsourcing, the public sector must demonstrate value for money and deliver on increased productivity.”
“This agreement will also put significant pressure on Government to support private sector employees through reductions in income tax and USC in Budget 2016. ”
