New Express Cable to Cork Great News for Region

Chambers Ireland has today (19/12/14) welcomed the announcement by Hibernia Networks that it will land a direct connection of its high performance Express transatlantic cable to Cork.

The new link will provide direct connectivity to the United Kingdom and the United States.
Speaking this morning, Ian Talbot, Chief Executive, Chambers Ireland said “This connection is great news for the South region. With the potential to support the technology community for at least the next 25 years, the economic benefits are untold. It affords existing companies the chance to increase their capacity and global footprint while also acting as an attractive incentive for businesses thinking about locating in the region. The short delivery timeframe of summer 2015 means that these benefits will be felt sooner rather than later.”
