Applications are now open for the 2024 Sustainable Business Impact Awards.

Chambers Ireland today (5 March) opened the application process for the 2024 Sustainable Business Impact Awards, proudly sponsored by BAM Ireland. The awards showcase best practices in sustainable development and social responsibility undertaken by companies of all sizes across Ireland.

These prestigious national awards have been celebrating sustainability and corporate social responsibility in Ireland for over twenty years. They have helped to galvanise very significant investment by the private sector in innovative projects that benefit the environment, communities, charities and workforces.

There are 15 award categories covering multinational and large indigenous companies, as well as a dedicated award celebrating Sustainable Impact by a Small or Medium Business. Categories include Communication, Health & Wellbeing, Partnership with a Social Enterprise, and Environment & Biodiversity. We have also launched a number of new and exciting awards this year including Businesses Supporting Human Rights. For more information on the full list of categories, click here.

Ian Talbot, Chief Executive of Chambers Ireland, commented on the launch of the awards:

“The Sustainable Business Impact Awards champion businesses that have committed to putting their employees, the environment and local communities at the heart of their operations by adopting and promoting trailblazing sustainable practices.

The awards are intrinsically linked with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, which aim to promote peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future.

Over the past twenty years of running these awards, we have witnessed the dial shift and business leaders are taking positive action and playing an increasingly important role in the betterment of wider society.”

Alasdair Henderson, Executive Director of BAM Ireland, added:

“BAM is delighted to once again partner with Chambers Ireland for the Sustainable Business Impact Awards.  This event is a celebration of best-in-class sustainable practices, innovation, and leadership and I encourage businesses of all sizes to enter and showcase their sustainability excellence.”

The closing date for applications is Friday 3rd May.
