Outstanding Achievement in Sustainable Business Impact Award Shortlist Announced


Chambers Ireland today (22 August) officially announced the shortlist for the Outstanding Achievement in Sustainable Business Impact Award. 

The companies shortlisted for the overall award are as follows:

  • Aldi  
  • Intel
  • Workday 
     

Announcing the three companies shortlisted, Ian Talbot, Chambers Ireland’s Chief Executive, said;

 “The companies revealed in today’s shortlist have embedded sustainability as a core aspect of their business models, have shown the highest calibre of engagement through their actions and are real leaders in this area. 

To be shortlisted for this prestigious accolade by our expert panel of judges is a testament to the consistency of these companies’ efforts in incorporating good practices across their business activities. I would like to wish each of the shortlisted companies the very best of luck.”

The UN Sustainable Development Goals are at the heart of the Sustainable Business Impact Awards, which showcases best practice in sustainable business development and social responsibility undertaken by companies of all sizes across Ireland. The SDGs are a compass to which companies can measure and align their strategies to, and in doing so the business case for the SDGs is at the core of the importance of transformative practices today.

The awards, now in their 20th year, are a unique competition which invites applications from the vast array of companies operating across Ireland today, from SMEs to MNCs. The awards are the prime showcase of the depth of corporate Ireland’s sustainable impact in their initiatives. The winner of this overall award will be announced at the awards ceremony, in addition to the winners of the individual awards categories.

The Chambers Ireland Sustainable Business Impact Awards are sponsored by BAM Ireland and run in association with the Department of Rural and Community Development who support the Social Enterprise category. One4all are the longstanding supporter of the Workplace category at the event and ESB are the new sponsors of the Communications category.

The Chambers Ireland Sustainable Business Impact Awards take place in the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Santry on the evening of 14th of September.
