Athlone Sustainable Digital Innovation Hub

Athlone Chamber are part of a collaboration working to develop a sustainable digital innovation hub in Athlone. Their partners are Westmeath County Council, IDA and the Technical University of Shannon (TUS). The project involved identifying a Historic Town Centre building and completing a full feasibility study. The hub will be a space for innovation and collaboration. The hub aims to provide a space for companies, entrepreneurs, individuals and to serve as a landing space for FDI. Creating an ecosystem for start-ups, existing micro-enterprises and SME’s, as well as a training and mentoring space supported by TUS, the hub brings a strong community element. It will cater for 200 people in a 20,000 sq. ft building and will revitalise a town centre area.

Laois Chamber – Commercial Vacancy Incentive Scheme

Laois County Council and Laois Chamber officially launched the Vacant Commercial Property Incentive Scheme in March in Portlaoise. This scheme offers business owners who are interested in leasing or renting a vacant premises a potential package of eleven different grants, supports and incentives.

Mullingar Chamber – #LoveMullingarCampaign

Mullingar Chamber working with Westmeath County Council, established a specialised retail team in 2021 to create consistent branding around the town and increase footfall. The project seen the creation of more “instagrammable” spaces.

Shannon Chamber Shannon Town Masterplan – A Collaborative Undertaking

Shannon Chamber and Clare County council worked on a masterplan examining growth potential, use of derelict and vacant sites within the Town Centre, development potential of key sites at the entrance points from the road network and would seek to create a vibrant place for people to meet, recreate, and connect with the area.

Waterford Chamber – Shop Waterford Support Local

‘Shop Waterford, Support Local’ campaign is designed to encourage Waterford shoppers to support local business. The campaign is supported by Waterford City and County Council, Waterford Chamber and Waterford City Centre Management Group.
