Measures to Stabilise Price of Health Insurance Welcome

Chambers Ireland has today (06/11/14) welcomed the measures introduced by Minister Varadkar in the Health Insurance (Amendment) Bill to help stabilise the rising price of private health insurance.

Speaking this morning, Ian Talbot, Chief Executive, Chambers Ireland said “For too long businesses have suffered the negative consequences of strategies to plug funding gaps in the Health service. A healthy workforce is a vital ingredient for a competitive economy and these measures should lead to an improvement in the take-up of health insurance, while also helping to contain costs for the large cohort of employers who provide subsidies to their employees.”
