Chambers Ireland today (26 June 2017) welcomed the launch of Ireland’s National Plan on Corporate Social Responsibility 2017 – 2020 “Towards Responsible Business” by Minister for Enterprise and Innovation, Frances Fitzgerald.
Speaking this morning, Chief Executive of Chambers Ireland Ian Talbot says, “We cannot underestimate the value of Government showing leadership in corporate social responsibility and the commitment of the Department of Enterprise and Innovation is extremely important in driving forward the CSR agenda nationwide.
Chambers Ireland works to promote CSR best practice, and through our annual CSR Awards we celebrate the hugely impressive work going on across the country by businesses of all sizes.
Socially responsible businesses make a positive impact on the communities in which they operate and greatly enhance Ireland as a place to live and work.
This National Action Plan is an important part of the CSR landscape and resources must be allocated to support its effective implementation. Chambers Ireland looks forward to engaging with the Department and the Minister to promote and support responsible business””
