Public Engagement Vital to Future Energy Plans

Chambers Ireland today (27/03/15) welcomed EirGrid’s new draft strategy for the development of Ireland’s transmission grid and encouraged both businesses and the general public to engage in the consultation process.

Speaking today, Mark O’Mahoney, Director of Policy and Communications, Chambers Ireland said, “A modernised and robust energy grid is vital to maintain Ireland’s competitiveness and support further economic growth and recovery. This report lays out a number of options for future projects which will help achieve this and we encourage people to get involved in this important consultation on essential national infrastructure.”
