Paula Carney-Hoffler, FIICM, Dip Law, CIPP/E, CIPM, ADPO, CDPP, has over 24 years of expertise in the Risk Information sector and is a founding member of IDPAA Limited. As an independent Data Protection Officer and Senior Consultant, she advises Irish companies across diverse sectors. Paula’s qualifications span Data Protection, Credit Risk Management, International Trade Finance, Company Law, Criminology, and Mediation. A leader in her field, she has held prominent roles, including President and Vice President of the Irish Institute of Credit Management, where she also served on the board for 12 years.
Her board experience includes Chambers Ireland, Irish Computer Society and formerly County Tipperary Chamber of Commerce,. Paula is a international speaker, presenting on risk management and cross border claims for the European Commission, additional she has presented to many organisations on Data Protection Law and other security regulation such as NIS2 Directive. She is a member of IAPP, ADPO, ISACA, and ASC, and her focus is the advancement of data protection standards and education in Ireland.
