Excellence in Local Government Awards
Chambers Ireland Chambers Ireland has announced the shortlist for the 2025 Excellence in Local Government Awards.
Now in its 22nd year, the awards recognise outstanding achievement in local government, with 98 Local Authority projects shortlisted across 16 categories. The shortlist highlights the dedication, innovation and impact taking place within communities across Ireland.
One Local Authority will also be named Local Authority of the Year 2025 on the night. Read the full press release here.
The 2025 Excellence in Local Government Awards will take place on Thursday, 27th November 2025 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Santry. Join us from 7pm for a drinks reception, with the awards ceremony commencing at 8pm. Please note this is a black tie event.

The Excellence in Local Government Awards are held in conjunction with the Department of Housing, Local Government and Heritage. These awards showcase best practice in local government and recognise the skills, hard work, innovation and enthusiasm within local government that can often go unrecognised.
